Kitchen luminary Rachael Ray will ride as grand marshal of the Krewe of Argus parade on Fat Tuesday, the krewe announced Wednesday.

In 1972 Argus, Inc. was incorporated as a carnival organization by several civic-minded Jefferson Parish business men in order to bring Mardi Gras to Jefferson Parish on Mardi Gras Day. The corporations name was changed in 1974 to Krewe Of Argus, Inc. so that there would a clear understanding of the organization.
