New Orleans' Artist Uses Mardi Gras Beads in Mosaic to Support and Honor the City's Resilience | TradingMarkets.com

A Jazz Funeral and second line will be held to honor the countless survivors of Hurricane Katrina which which will be followed by the unveiling of "NOLA's Resilience" a massive mosaic of more than 250,000 Mardi Gras beads has been resurrected by artist Stephan Wanger in order to raise $1,000,000 for New Orleans-based charities that honor the countless victims of Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. The mosaic, appropriately titled "NOLA's Resilience," will be unveiled by Charmaine Neville and Evelyn Pizani, two incredible women that suffered greatly during Hurricane Katrina and who rose up to become the faces of survivorship in New Orleans.
