New Orleans museum praised | The Seattle Times

As a New Orleans resident and a Hurricane Katrina survivor, I appreciate the article about the museum exhibit very much [“Remembering Hurricane Katrina at New Orleans museum,” NWTraveler, April 3]. A good description was given, however, a misconception was stated. Reporter Mary Foster wrote, “the monster hurricane that battered New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, killing more than 1,600 people.”
