City Taking Applications For 'Pedicab' Permits | WDSU

The city of New Orleans has moved closer to the launch of commercialized pedal-powered transportation with the solicitation of applications for "pedicab" permits.

On Thursday, the City Council passed regulations that include a lottery system to select license-holders. The rules also ban smoking on the pedicabs and establish guidelines for reporting accidents and disputes.
