Movies in the Park concludes this weekend | City of New Orleans

This weekend, the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission’s (NORDC) Movies in the Park program will conclude. Since August, on Fridays and Saturdays through November 26, 2011, residents have had the opportunity to watch family movies for free on a large portable outdoor movie screen in grassy areas across the City.

NORDC provided a large portable outdoor movie screen, licensed DVD, security, trash receptacles and satellite restrooms. Community organizations and neighborhood associations served as the host by choosing a movie from NORDC’s inventory as well as providing space, concessions, a volunteer cleanup crew, and a table showcasing upcoming neighborhood events.
