New Orleans hopes to gain new jobs as well as healthy, fresh food from a new Urban Farming and Food Center. The Recirculating Farms Coalition and New Orleans Food and Farm Network announced yesterday that they have received major grants for this innovative project, which will join innovative water-based recirculating farming with traditional soil-based growing.
