The state Recovery School District has issued several plans over the past few years to match its New Orleans public school buildings -- all renovated or redone after Hurricane Katrina -- with charter school programs. They are long-term destinations: The charters might have to spend several years in temporary space while construction proceeds. Many buildings have been reassigned as the years pass.
