Victim shot while walking home in the 7th Ward: NOPD

A female pedestrian was shot in the wrist in the 7th Ward Thursday night (April 25), New Orleans police reported.

The shooting occurred about 9:20 p.m. at North Miro and Touro streets (map). The victim was walking home when she heard gunfire and realized she had been struck, the NOPD said in an email.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by EMS.

No further details, including the victim’s age, were immediately available.
