2 shootings reported overnight in New Orleans, police say

A man and a woman were shot overnight in two separate crimes, New Orleans police said Monday morning (May 20). Their conditions were not immediately available.

Here’s what we know:

1:13 a.m. Monday

A woman was shot in the leg in the 4100 block of North Derbigny Street (map) in the St. Claude area. Police reported the shooting at 1:13 a.m., but it wasn’t immediately clear when it happened. No details were available about the woman’s age or about a possible motive or suspect.

1:55 a.m. Monday

A man with a gunshot wound showed up a hospital seeking treatment. Police said the shooting happened in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard (map), but there was no immediately information about what time it occurred. No details were available about the man’s age or about a possible motive or suspect.
