2 teens shot in Algiers Tuesday night, NOPD says

Two teenagers were injured in a shooting Tuesday night (May 7) in Algiers, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The 18-year-old and 16-year-old were talking to each other in the 3900 block of Sullen Place at about 9:30 p.m. when they heard gunshots, according to police. They attempted to run and were both shot in the body. The teens were taken by EMS to a local hospital.
