Man shot dead in Kenner Friday afternoon

Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man in Kenner Friday afternoon.

Marrero family on edge after safety shattered by fatal triple shooting

The victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has not yet been identified. The shooting occurred about 4:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of Phoenix Street in Kenner, said Lt. Michael Cunningham, spokesman for the Kenner Police Department.

Investigators believe the man was shot while in his vehicle. No other details were available.
