A 56-year-old man was shot in Central City Sunday (May 12), New Orleans police reported.
The 56-year-old man was driving near the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Saratoga Street (map), when a person inside a white car fired shots at his car, police said in an initial report. The 56-year-old was struck once. He then drove about two miles to NOPD’s Second District station in the CBD, police said.
EMS brought the man to the hospital. A woman, who was also inside the car with the 56-year-old, was not injured, police said.
The shooting happened around 12:05 a.m. No additional information on the suspected shooter was immediately available.
