Man wounded in shooting at Hollygrove park: NOPD

A man was struck several times in shooting Friday night (May 10) at a Hollygrove park, New Orleans police reported.

The gunfire was reported about 7:15 p.m. in the 3400 block of Hamilton Street, which runs alongside Conrad Park. The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital via private vehicle, police said.

At the scene, officers cordoned off a section of Edinburgh Street near the intersection with Hamilton Street. Investigators placed several evidence cones near benches and a drinking fountain inside the park, between the basketball court and the park’s main building.

No further details were immediately available.
