Filming on the OWN series "Queen Sugar" is expected to prompt traffic delays on Monday (May 20) on Edwards Avenue in the Elmwood area of Jefferson Parish, local motorists are being advised.

Production is expected to take place from noon and 7 p.m. between Pepsi and Mounes streets and will require intermittent traffic stoppages of three to five minutes at a time, according to an advisory from the parish film office.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office will be on-hand to direct traffic.

“Queen Sugar” is currently in production on its fourth season. It’s one of a number of TV series currently filming in the New Orleans area. Others include the fourth season of the USA Network series “Queen of the South,” the second season of the USA Network series “The Purge,” the first season of the Disney Channel series “Sulphur Springs” and the first season of the Hulu series “Looking for Alaska.”

From 'Murphy Brown' to 'Empire,' here are 40 network TV shows ending this season
