There is a low chance tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico as a cold front moves offshore and stalls. The water is warm in the Gulf. Behind the cold front winds will be northeast. Ahead of the cold front winds are generally out of the southwest. A spin can develop, and an area of low pressure can develop. It's something to monitor.
