The New Orleans Saints and head coach Sean Payton has agreed to a 5-year contract extension.
The deal was first reported by Jay Glazer with Fox Sports.
Payton has been with New Orleans since 2006 and is the winningest head coach in franchise history.
His new deal will keep him in New Orleans through the 2023 season.
Payton, 55, currently has a reported annual salary of $8.5 million making him the NFL’s fourth highest paid head coach behind New England’s Bill Belichick, Seattle’s Pete Carroll and Oakland’s Jon Gruden.
Financial terms of Payton’s new deal have not been released.
