Strong storms are already forming offshore from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Special marine warnings are posted. These storms are likely to move into the Mississippi coast early in the morning. There is a high chance for a tropical depression to briefly form Friday before being absorbed by a cold front in the Gulf of Mexico. Expect off and on rain overnight into Saturday around noon. A cold front will move through Saturday with the winds shifting to the Northwest and cooler drier air moving into the area. The weather improves Saturday afternoon into Sunday.
