Right now we are watching a broad low in the NW Caribbean that is forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico. There is a 10% chance tropical development for that low in the SW Gulf. An upper low over the West Gulf is causing strong upper level winds across the broad low. The broad low is also dealing with dry air. There is very little convection associated with it. A cold front moving south across our area Monday will push the system to the south. Sunday and Monday we will have some strong easterly winds. The east winds will push water onto those east facing shorelines. Tides will be running above average. Once the cold front moves through and offshore by Monday night, the winds will become northerly and push the water offshore.
