The National Hurricane Center says 60% chance tropical development for an area of low pressure in the Bay of Campeche. It is sending moisture our way. The system may become a depression, and will merge with a cold front Friday. Models do not agree on how much rain, and where it will be heaviest. Models recently area showing more of the rain over South Central Louisiana to just west of I-55. This can change. Earlier models showed 6 to even 10 inch rainfall potential. So the message is to stay weather aware. Not everyone will get heavy rain, but some of the area will get heavy rain.
