Tropical storm warning is posted for Grand Isle to Pearl River. Coastal flood advisory posted for the Southeast Louisiana Coast and South Mississippi for water 1-3 feet above normal and 1-2 feet above normal for area lakes. The European Model is indicating the potential for 30-36 mph winds in the Metro by 1pm, and 57 mph winds are forecast at the Mouth of the River.
The forecast cone shows where the center will move 2/3 of the time, and 1/3 of the time the center will be outside of the cone. The impacts can happen well outside of the cone. Keep in mind the system is often larger than the cone. The greater impacts with Potential Tropical Cyclone 16 will likely be along the Florida Panhandle.
This is something to monitor through the day Friday in case there are any changes in the track.
