Rain chances will increase overnight. There is a slight risk severe storms 6 AM Thursday through 6 AM Friday. Looks like the greater risk will be across Southwest Mississippi towards BR and into the North portion of the Northshore. This will not be an all day rain. There will be periods of rain, with rain chances looking higher Thursday night into Friday morning for the South Shore. Some locally heavy rain is possible, but there is a slight risk excessive rainfall over the Central Portion of the State into Central Mississippi. Keep this in mind if traveling. There is a marginal risk excessive rainfall extending into portions of the Northshore.
Cold front moves through Friday evening and the weather will clear out for the weekend. Sunny skies this weekend with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.
