Tracking restaurants that have introduced takeout and delivery services following Louisiana’s coronavirus restrictions
On Monday afternoon, the governor of Louisiana ordered all restaurants in the state to close their dining rooms to the public amid the novel coronavirus epidemic, allowing for takeout, delivery, or drive-thru service only. It’s a major change for restaurants in New Orleans, where dining out is as much centered around social interaction as food. However, and maybe unsurprisingly, most local establishments are adapting quickly by introducing delivery and pickup options for the first time.
Here is Eater’s running list of top New Orleans restaurants now offering delivery or takeout, broken down by neighborhood. We will continuously update the list in the coming days.
