Mississippi River now at 16.62 feet. Forecast to crest Wednesday at 16.9 feet and stay at that level through Sunday. It will begin falling after that. The Spillway is not forecast to open with this high level mark. There are 25 minor seepage points. The Corps of Engineers is inspecting the levees daily.
Scattered rain is forecast Tuesday. Rain and storms with a severe weather risk forecast Wednesday. Rain moves out early Thursday with cooler and breezy conditions. Sunny skies forecast Friday and Saturday. Chilly mornings with lows mostly in the 40s and highs forecast in the 60s.
Don't forget about daylight saving time Sunday. Turn the clock ahead one hour before going to sleep Saturday. We lose one hour of sleep!
