Crawfish from Boil Seafood on Magazine Street  | Josh Brasted/Eater NOLA

You can still satisfy your boiled crawfish cravings from your own backyard with the help of these restaurants

Novel coronavirus has forced the closure of all Louisiana bars and restaurant dining rooms, but luckily for those that wait all year for crawfish season, many of the city’s essential spots are still open and selling boiled crawfish to-go. And, due to a combination of healthy crawfish yields this season and farmers losing restaurant business due to the new restrictions, in some cases it means the direct-to-consumer prices have declined.

To help satisfy crawfish cravings from the safety of your own backyard, here’s Eater’s guide to New Orleans’s essential crawfish destinations still open for curbside pickup, drive-thru, or delivery.

Bevi Seafood — Both the original location in Metairie and the second spot on Carrollton Avenue are slinging great daily specials — just check its Facebook page for deals and hours.

Big Ez Seafood — This West Bank seafood gem is now offering crawfish delivery, carryout, bulk orders, and shipping. Open until 8 p.m.

Boil Seafood House — Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily for takeout, delivery, and bulk orders.

Captain Sid’s — The decades-old Captain Sid’s has boiled crawfish available for pikcup seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Clesi’s Seafood — Clesi’s is currently offering crawfish and limited menu items for curbside pickup or delivery. Call or order from your car at the restaurant’s pop-up tent on Bienville Street.

Deanie’s Seafood — Deanie’s full meny is available with curbside service at the Bucktown and Magazine Street locations; the French Quarter location is temporarily closed.

Frankie and Johnny’s — Offering curbside pickup and delivery through D’livery NOLA. Also doing Friday night fish fries for a family of four ($50).

North Broad Seafood — Call in your order from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the family at North Broad will have the orders ready at the register.

Salvo’s Seafood — Now offering delivery, carryout, bulk orders, and shipping. The spot is also hiring a seasonal crawfish walker to keep up with delivery orders.

Seither’s Seafood — Harahan’s best seafood destination is still slinging crawfish from the parking lot of its brightly-painted building as well as outside Zuppardo’s Family Supermarket in Metairie.

Today’s Ketch Seafood and Restaurant — Open and serving its full menu including solid crawfish deals starting at 10 a.m.

Do you know of a local fund or initiative to support New Orleans’s service industry? Heard of a restaurant closing permanently due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic? Let us know.
