Mississippi River Thursday night was 17.06 feet. There are 28 minor seepage points in the Metro. The flow past New Orleans is 1.24 million cubic feet per second. The trigger point for opening the Spillway is 1.25 million cubic feet per second and a rising river. In this case the River is forecast to begin dropping Thursday. The Spillway will not open with this high water event.
