The Mississippi River hit 15.03 feet today. Once the River hits 15 feet at New Orleans, the Corps of Engineers enters phase 2. That means daily inspections of the levees. Right now there are 30 minor seepage points.
Oak pollen is causing problems now. Right now the pollen is moderate. Rain would help clear the atmosphere, but rain chances are low.
A cold front will move through Sunday morning with some showers. An area of low pressure is forecast to develop along the old boundary Monday and Tuesday. This will increase our rain chances.
