Mississippi River now 16.9 feet, and is forecast to stay at this level through Sunday. Flood stage is 17 feet, but the Metro is protected to 20 feet. The River is forecast to fall next week. The Spillway will not open with this high water event. There are 25 minor seepage points.
High pressure builds in with sunny skies forecast Friday through the weekend. Cooler Friday morning with lows in the mid 40s to low 50s. Highs mid 60s. Colder Saturday morning. Lows mid 30s and mid 40s. Highs low 60s. High pressure moves to East of our area Sunday with an onshore flow beginning to develop. Warmer weather Sunday. Highs low to mid 70s.
