Rain Chances go down this weekend. You know what that means. Hotter weather. Highs will be around 90. A weak cold front will send in some drier air, so that should make it feel more comfortable Sunday.
The 2nd tropical storm of the Season did not last long. Bertha formed at 8:30 this morning EDT. Made landfall by 9:30 AM near Mount Pleasant. Was a depression by 2PM and last advisory was written by 5PM. Max winds reached 50 mph. Bertha will likely dissipate by Thursday night, but it is going to cause heavy rain into Virginia and West Virginia before it dissipates.
This is six years in a row with an early start to the Hurricane Season. An early start does not mean an active season, but out of the past five years, only one was below average.
