Cristobal has issues. It is dealing with dry air and wind shear. Water temperatures are warm enough to sustain a system, but not very warm. Sea Surface Temps are in the upper 70s to low 80s. Cristobal is also asymmetrical. The heavier rain will be on the East side. The Euro and GFS Models show a symmetrical storm, which means I do not have a lot of confidence in them. They are not initializing well. Regardless, we will have a storm moving our way with wind, rain and surge. The worst time period looks to be Sunday night with the potential for heavy rain with a rainfall rate of 2-4 inches of rain an hour.
Saturday will be a warm, humid, breezy day with some scattered rain and storms. You still have time to prepare for Cristobal.
