Isaias has 60 mph winds. Moving NW 18 mph. The storm is pulling away from Hispaniola and will be over the Southeast Bahamas tonight, Central Bahamas Friday night and near South Florida Saturday. Isaias is forecast to be a hurricane Saturday. Right now Isaias is over warm water in the mid 80s, but is dealing with some wind shear and very dry air on the west side. The Bermuda high will weaken some and allow for a more northward movement in time. A cold front is pushing east towards the East Coast and will help turn Isaias Northward as well. It is possible the cyclone may parallel the coast, but it may also move onshore in North Carolina and in the NE.
There is an area of low pressure off the Coast of Africa that has a 40% chance for tropical development. Right now it is dealing with dry air and Saharan Dust.
