Recon flew into Potential Tropical Cyclone 9, and did not find a closed low level circulation. It is still forecast to become a tropical storm Wednesday. Located 235 miles SE of the Leeward Islands moving WNW 25 mph. It is a large system, and because it is moving so fast it is likely having a hard time getting organized. Because there is no closed low level circulation, there is a great deal of uncertainty as to its forecast track going out in time. The GFS Model takes it over Puerto Rico, parts of the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas and then turns it North near the East Coast of Florida and then along the Mid Atlantic Coast. The Euro Model takes it over the Leeward Islands, South to near Puerto Rico, South of the Dominican Republic, over Cuba, through the Straits of Florida, into the East Gulf, then into Florida. Obviously, there is a great deal of difference in the models. This is something to monitor, and will keep you posted.
