A tropical depression may form as it moves towards the Coasts of South Carolina and North Carolina. Some moisture may move our way next week. There is an 80% chance tropical development for a tropical wave moving off the Coast of Africa. A depression is likely to form late this week as it moves over the warm Atlantic waters. Forecast models tend to take it west and possible eventually into the Caribbean.
Paulette has decreased in strength. Max winds now 60 mph. It is dealing with wind shear. Moving NW 9 mph. Slow weakening is forecast.
Rene is a depression, but it has had a burst of convection recently. It is over warm water with low wind shear. It is forecast to become a hurricane. Rene is forecast to stay out in the Atlantic, and may even do a loop.
