It's dry out. We were over 3" of rain below average for September. This is a good time to water the garden!
Watching the tropics. 80% chance tropical development for a broad low off the NE Coast of Honduras. A depression or storm may form Friday or Saturday, but the chance for development is lower if the system moves over land. The GFS Model takes the broad low towards the North portion of the Yucatan Peninsula, and keeps it there or in the South Gulf for a couple of days. It then begins to move towards the SW Gulf as High pressure builds to the North.
We are also watching a tropical wave in the East Caribbean forecast to move West 15-20 mph toward the West Caribbean. It has a 30% chance tropical development in 3-5 days.
