Hurricane Zeta will move into the Gulf of Mexico Tuesday. Forecast models are grouped over SE Louisiana and South Mississippi right now. It is forecast to make landfall Wednesday evening somewhere over SE Louisiana and then South Mississippi. Hurricane force wind gusts are certainly possible. Storm Surge is a concern. 4-7 foot rise possible Port Fourchon to Dauphin Island. 2-4 foot rise possible in area lakes. Locally heavy rain is possible. Models indicated 3-6 inches possible along the track. Isolated tornadoes are always possible on the East side of a landfalling hurricane. A cold front will move through early Thursday, and the weather improves Thursday through the weekend with cooler temps.
