Expect a gradual warm up into the weekend with some showers possible Saturday. It is looking warmer at the first of the week.
Eta moved onshore in Nicaragua around 4pm this afternoon with 140 mph winds. Storm surge, very heavy rain, tornadoes, mud slides are all likely. The system is forecast to be a depression by late Wednesday, and back in the Caribbean late Thursday. It is forecast to head toward Cuba and then South Florida by this Sunday. The GFS and Euro Models do bring into the Gulf of Mexico, but it appears to stay to our East. Also it does not appear to become a strong system.
