Still chilly Thursday morning. Lows drop into the upper 40s to the upper 50s. Partly cloudy skies forecast Thursday. Highs will be in the mid 70s. There's a very slight rain chance Friday with highs in the upper 70s. Over the weekend highs will be in the upper 70s with about a 30% rain chance Saturday. Warmer for the first of the week with highs near 80 to the low 80s.
We are watching hurricane Eta. Max winds 105 mph. It is moving very slowly across Nicaragua. Very heavy rain is forecast with the potential for mud slides. Eta will be a depression by Thursday. It is forecast to move back into the Caribbean by Friday and then intensify and become a storm again. It heads toward Cuba Saturday and is approaching Florida Sunday as a tropical storm. Bot the Euro and GFS Models take Eta into the Gulf of Mexico. The Euro takes towards Apalachicola Thursday. The GFS now diminishes the system and has it as a remnant low next Friday.
