Widespread rainfall returns Friday -- to the tune of .50- 3.00" inches. A "Low Risk" for localized flash flooding for low lying areas. Then there's the Pearl River near Bogalusa. Currently, at 20.53' ft. and in minor flooding (Minor Flood Stage 18 feet) the Pearl River near Bogalusa is forecast to reach moderate flooding of 21.1' ft. on Friday (Moderate Flood Stage 21.0' feet). The rain forecast for Southeast Louisiana may reach a 60-80% chance of showers and storms to finish out this week. In doing so, the the additional rainfall will have similar impacts upon the Pearl River near Pearl River -- currently, at 16.07' feet. Since the river at this location is already in minor flooding (Minor Flood Stage 14 feet) the forecast is set to reach moderate flooding of 17' ft. (Moderate Flood Stage 17.0' feet), Tuesday of next week.
