Cool to mild, Today -- after a much cooler start on the South Shore. New Orleans dropped to a low of 39° degrees as reported at the Louis Armstrong International Airport. The record low temp is 39° degrees back in 1989. Today we remain mostly cool to mild. Highs for this afternoon will reach 67-71°. Expect a bump in local temperatures on Friday -- when local temperatures warm some 6-9° and may post a high temperature range of 77-82. Your local temperatures continue to warm into the weekend with comfortable low 80's on the way. Next week on Monday we have a low chance of showers, but Tuesday increasing clouds and potential storm activity return to the forecast. Regarding overnight local temperatures and cold air, expect cold to chilly lows in the lower 40's to low 50's early Friday morning. Morning temps also gain a warm-up into the weekend -- as morning lows warm some 7-10° into the widespread 50's Saturday and mid 50's and low 60's on Sunday morning.
