In July, Abita will ship 120,000 bottles of its new pilsner across the country emblazoned with an urgent message: S.O.S., or Save Our Coast. For each 22-ounce bottle of S.O.S. sold, the north coast brewery will donate $0.75 to restore the Gulf Coast and support the men and women affected by the BP oil disaster.
The beer is an unfiltered weizen pils with a high, 7% alcohol content.
