In a small laboratory in the newly opened New Orleans BioInnovation Center, Sudhir Sinha and four employees work on what he hopes will be the next major advances in DNA testing -- profiling the smallest of genetic samples and having results on DNA comparisons completed within an hour or two. The 66,000-square-foot center, which opened in June, already houses 11 companies, including two venture capital firms. It has the space for 40 to 50 companies employing up to 200 people, Miscenich said. Miscenich works with a staff of four.
