The lineup of food vendors and dishes doesn't change much from year to year. The festival sticks with restaurants, caterers and cooks who have consistently delivered quality food. This year, only two new dishes are highlighted on the Jazz Fest official list of food and vendors for 2016. They are Bacon Pecan Square at Marie's Sugar Dumplings in the Congo Square area of the Fairgrounds and Fresh Strawberry & Yogurt Trifle at Fireman Mike's Kitchen in the kids area.
