A man was shot in the hip Saturday morning (April 6) in the Gentilly Terrace neighborhood, New Orleans police said. The shooting occurred in the 2500 block of Jasmine Street (map), police spokesperson Danielle Miller, and the man was taken to a hospital.
It was not immediately clear when the shooting occurred. The Police Department notified the news media at about 2:50 a.m.
At about 2:15 a.m., the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said a man was shot in the 2100 block of Fernando Court in Marrero. He was reported in critical condition, but the Sheriff’s Office did not provide more information.
