The shooting occurred Thursday night (May 29, 2019) in the 3600 block of Garden Oaks Boulevard in Algiers, police said.

A male victim was wounded in a shooting late Thursday (May 29) in Algiers, according to New Orleans police.

The shooting was reported in the 3600 block of Garden Oaks Boulevard, NOPD spokesman Aaron Looney said in an email sent minutes after midnight.

No further details, such as the age of the victim or the extent of his injuries, were immediately available.
