16-year-old boy shot in Gentilly Woods on Saturday morning: NOPD

A 16-year-old boy was shot Saturday morning (May 11) in Gentilly Woods, New Orleans police said.

The boy was struck by a person driving in a white sedan in the 4800 block of Stephen Girard Avenue (map) around 5 a.m., police said. The boy then ran inside his home and was transported to a hospital.

No additional information on the suspected shooter was available in a preliminary report.
