A much stronger cold front moves through Thursday morning with rain likely. The sun will shine Friday and Saturday. Highs in the mid 50s Friday and near 60 Saturday. Some rain chances develop late Sunday.
The Mississippi River is Rising. This evening up to 14.62 feet. Forecast to be at 16.5 feet by March 2nd. That is up 2 feet in two weeks. It is not at this point forecast to reach the trigger to open the Spillway. The River will reach phase 2 by Thursday. That requires daily inspections of the levee.
The Pearl River at Bogalusa is at 21.06 feet. Forecast to crest at moderate flood Monday at 22.5 feet.
The Pearl River at Pearl River is at 16.56 feet. Forecast to be at Major flood by Tuesday evening at 19 feet.
