The rain helped wash out the atmosphere. That's important, because there is a lot of pollen in the air. The big culprit is Oak pollen. The only problem with the rain is that it will cause more plants to bloom. That means more pollen released into the air! Some isolated to widely scattered showers forecast through Friday.
The Mississippi River is now at 15.12 feet. The River is falling, and is forecast to drop below Phase 2 Wednesday. That means the Corps of Engineers will then stop inspecting the levees daily, and change to inspecting twice a week.
