Elongated non-tropical low off the Georgia coast is causing some rain and a few storms over the Atlantic. The low is forecast to move onshore in East North Carolina Tuesday. The chance of development is low.
Hot weather continues through the week, but it will be less humid through Thursday. Lows will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Humidity begins to increase Sunday and Monday. A disturbance will move east to our North, and will give us a slight rain chance Sunday and Monday.
It's getting dry. Be sure to water the garden and yard. Check the back seat. This heat is a killer if anyone is left in the back seat. Cracking the window and parking in the shade do no good. Construction workers and people who work outside need to take breaks from the heat, hydrate and pay attention to how you feel. If faint, weak or nauseous, get inside and cool down.
Be sure your pets have all day shade and fresh water if left outside. Remember if running with your pet that the sidewalk is hot, and can burn their paws. If you are thirsty, the pet is thirsty. Make sure to stop and give the pet water.
Take care, and be safe.
