We had severe thunderstorm warnings and a tornado warning Wednesday Night. 8:48 pm Wednesday night reports of wind damage in Laplace. There was roof damage and utility poles down. It was a possible tornado. 9:14 pm there was wind damage in New Sarpy with trees and power lines down. 9:18 pm in Luling trees and power lines were downed.
We also had reports of flooding in Algiers and Gretna. The Flood Advisory was in effect until 10:30 pm. Rain is diminishing as we go into the overnight hours, but more rain is forecast Thursday with the potential for locally heavy rain.
Rain chances go down Friday into the weekend. It's about a 20% chance. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s.
