One man was killed and two more people were injured in an overnight shooting in Jefferson, authorities said Tuesday morning (May 14).
The shooting was reported at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of Clermont Street in Jefferson (map), according to a statement from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Three people were shot inside an apartment there, JPSO said. They were all taken to a hospital for treatment, where one of the men, 62, later died. His name has not been released.
Another man, 57, and a 55-year-old woman remained in the hospital as of 5 a.m., JPSO said. Their vitals were stable, authorities said, but they did not release any details about the severity of their injuries.
